Hobbies - Drawing

Hello readers!

Drawing has always been a hobby of mine from a very young age. I always used to enjoy art at school, but never took it further than year 9 after I chose my options. Sometimes I regret this, as I feel I'm not properly trained in art and how to draw properly, but I try my best!

I haven't been consistent with drawing, it's something I have to be in the mood for, but something I have always came back to. I feel as though I have improved over the years! I love finding a picture online to give me inspiration and then taking my own spin on it. I get such a buzz when my hard work pays off in the end!

Here are a few drawings I have drawn over the years from a few years ago to now:

P!nk - My mum and I went through a phase where we were both obsessed with her music, so I decided to draw her for my mum!

African Grey - Parrots have always been a massive part of my family through different generations. My mum loves African Greys so I drew her one!

Minions - My youngest sister went through a phase of loving anything minions! So I drew her Kevin the minion!

Robin Williams - After hearing the news that Robin Williams had sadly passed away, I decided to pay tribute by drawing a four in one picture demonstrating four different characters he had played in different movies.

Johnny Depp - I found a four in one picture on Instagram, which gave me inspiration to draw and create something similar! Johnny Depp is a very talented actor and this drawing demonstrates four different movies he has been apart of.

Through the Eye - I came across an image similar to this online and automatically wanted to try and recreate it. I loved the abstract idea as well as the the city skyline detail.

Adele - I have always loved Adele's music, but after she took a break I had forgotten just how talented she was. Now I have fallen back in love with her music I decided to attempt to draw her. I admit it's not the best, but I tried!

Parted Lips - I came across a YouTube video on how to draw realistic lips which gave me the inspiration to draw this piece. I was pretty happy with the outcome!

Alice in Wonderland Typography - I tried to recreate an image I had seen online at like 2am.. Ha!

Olaf - My youngest sister loves Frozen, so I drew this for her!

Simba - My youngest sister has been learning about Africa at school. She watched The Lion King and since has been obsessed! I drew her Simba, one of her favourite characters and have set myself a challenge to draw 3 Lion King characters in total to be framed and go on her wall!

Timson - Again from The Lion King, potentially one of the drawings that will get used for my sisters wall art!

Never give up on a hobby or something you're intreated in! Practice makes perfect and hard work pays off!
